Our front yard is graced with a maple tree, Hubby planted it about 40 years ago.  Its strong boughs have held a few animals, swings and children over the years, shading gatherings, family and friends.

It has been through a lot, storms over the past years have taken out some branches. So far, it has withstood all nature has sent. It leans a bit now, with naked branches reaching out.

This morning, Hubby is concerned for the trees safety as freezing rain falls. He fears that major accumulation may finally bring it down.

So we will hope that the male tree with the memories of our lives will ‘make it through’.
