It stikes me as Hubby and I wander around the fields and forest lands close to Sunrise Ridge, how strong the ‘roots’ are.  2 Corinthians 5:7 We live by faith, not by sight.

In a place where once a house stood, iris and blackberry are fighting for the sunlight and growth.

A lilac, not knowing it is alone, raises it’s beauty and scent in an empty yard, now filled with tall winter dead grass stems and new green weeds.

The beauty and strength of the plants a testament of love and care in days long gone.

A few piles of rocks mark the old foundations, all that remain of human habitation. What will we leave behind?
