It’s the time of year, at least here, that rain is making for a great crop of mosquitos!

I posted a few days ago about using sassafras leaves as a mosquito repellant. This morning a friend sent along a link for some other things you can plant around your home to help keep the little winged biters at bay.

She is using some herbal plantings, so there is a bonus, keeping the ‘skeeters’ away and fresh herbs for cooking or drying.  We use some of those here at the homestead, so I am going to plant a couple of pots to set by the porch and around the barbecue area.

I see it as a win-win, don’t you?
