Back before the day of instant photos, the photo albums were chronciles of a family.

Pictures, newspaper clippings, perhaps a letter or picture postcard or even a pressed flower.

Treasures and treasured memories.

We look at them today, family members, some known only by the tales of descendants, some so different in our own minds.

We chuckle at the clothing styles, haircuts and poses, or think fondly of a particular subject or landscape. We wonder who an unnamed individual might be.

Still a treasure, and something of a mystery.
