A trip to the garden, food plot and asparagus bed gives rise to hope. Things are beginning to shoot toward the heavens.

Corn and beans are growing, there are buds on the tomato plants. Cucumbers, squash and melons are stretching timid tendrils.

Blackberry blossoms are rampant on the vines. Tiny shoots of new asparagus are visible.

Small blueberries, strawberries, plums and peaches are visible on the plants, enjoying the sunshine and warm weather.

The food plot is abloom with wild flowers and green with new clover.

It has been a cold, wet wait for growth this spring, but now the promise has been fulfilled. Maybe I had better begin to think about checking the canning jars and other supplies necessary  to prepare a harvest for winter needs?
