At six o’clock this morning, Hubby and I stood on the porch, watching clouds swallow the stars. Around the horizon, north, west and south, lighting reflected on clouds or shattered the darkness in bright streaks. At 62 degrees, we doidn’t even have on jackets!

Soon, a few minutes of pounding rain and small hail drenched the quiet of Sunrise Ridge. Wind screamed through the bare branches of the forest around the place, bringing fast falling temperatures and a snap of wintery air.

By seven, the temps had fallen to low 40’s and was in the 30’s by eight.

Skies cleared and much sunshine has graced our day.

Now as the sun falls away, clouds again begin to gather, possible snow flurries tonight.

Well, it really is January, but it sure was pleasant to be spoiled by the weather.
