Someone posed a question this morning: “Could you live without AC?”

I am going to speak from experience, I can.

When we were newly married back in the 1960’s, Hubby and I lived for a time without electricity, in a one room place.

Next door, at his parents, was a water pump for the cistern, a gasoline powered washing machine, a propane refrigerator and awood stove to cook on.

No electricity there either. There was a battery powered radio for entertainment and a Coleman lantern for reading or sewing at night.

We managed and were glad to have what we did.
