According to the old garden lore, today is the day to plant turnips for fall.

We usually plant them, but I am wondering as dry as it is right now if there is any point? I’m afraid those tiny seeds will just blow away or be eaten by hungry birds.

A lot of people are reporting seeing animals we do not normally see, racoons and deer coming right up to homes to eat flowers or find a drink. I know they are having a hard time.

A friend mentioned she had put out water for her cat and found rabbits on the porch drinking from the dish.

A little over a year ago, in April,  we were getting flooding rains, today I would like very much to see some of that rain! I’m sure it’s not just me who would like that today.
