The giveaway for August will be a wall quilt, approximately 35 inches by 35 inches in this star pattern. This one was made last week by my Grandson Brett. It was easy and really looks good. I have enough fabric to make another.
The pattern is featured in The Half-Stitched Amish Quilting Club book by Wanda Brunstetter. WHich, by the way is a really good story.
It will be made by me, out of 100 % cotton fabrics and machine quilted.
How to enter: Post a comment, tell me WHY you need a wall quilt. Or, if you have read the book, tell me your favorite chaaracter and a bit about why you chose that person.
Leave your e-mail contact address.
Brett will choose a random winner on August 24th.
Simple as that, it really is!

I really need a wall quilt because I don’t have one!! Would love to have an Amish quilt for a bed but do not have an extra bed to display it so I will have to settle on a wall quilt. I started to make a small quilt years ago in a class but never finished it. Maybe someday I ‘ll get back to it. I have the book and it’s in my TBR pile.

Jackie, Wanda Brunstetter has plans for more books with these characters, I will be looking forward to them too.
It has been a lot of fun helping Brett make his.
I need a wall quilt but will make it a bed quilt instead. 🙂 My bed is cold since I sleep alone in the coldest room in the house and would spread this over top to make my bed pretty and warm! This is very pretty and I wish I could do something like it but I’m afraid of sewing my fingers. LOL I haven’t read this book yet but would love to.

The book is well worth reading. Good luck on the quilt drawing
I need to win the wall quilt because August 24th is my husband’s 62nd birthday. And would you believe he will be in your neck of the woods for his birthday. Just as he has been for the past 30+ years. He goes on a week long squirrel hunt. They camp across from I think Blue springs. Oh and did I tell you it’s a muzzle loader hunt?
That sounds like fun! I love Blue Springs, we go there every year for the first night of gigging season. Good luck in the drawing
What a beautiful quilt! Would look lovely in my new sewing room. I absolutely loved The Half-stitched Amish Quilting Club. I honestly wasn’t looking forward to read it at first. It sounded like something I would not want to read. But being one Wanda’s books, I figured I should give it a try. You really can’t go wrong with one of her novels. I’m glad I chose to read it. I loved the Jan character. What a Teddy bear! He definitely was an unexpected character and what a ending for him. You never would’ve thought a character like him would be a quilter.
Thank You for a chance to win the beautiful quilt.
