This morning Hubby wanted to watch Netflix. We use the Wii for that feature.
Of course, you have to have the controller to use it. And where wasw the controller?
That was the question. I looked all over the living room and in all the not necessarily logical places.
Finally in utter frustration I posted on Facebook “if anyone knows what happened to the Wii controller – please let me know! I have turned two rooms over hunting it”.
Of course, there were several responses, mostly alluding to furniture, grandkids or the animals…
Finally one mentioned the toybox, so I decided to dig through that.
It was in the toy box, stuffed inside a parrots body.

Major surgery was not required. 😉 Now Hubby is scrolling happily trying to find a movie that suits him.

Another April has arrived. What was the best April Fool prank you ever played?
I think my best one was some years ago, Hubby was working 3-11 shift and was sleeeping late into the morning.
When he woke up, I asked him “How did you get that big crack in the truck windshield?”
He failed to see the humor in that!
I pretty much gave up on the foolishness after that, however, I think this year we might change the holiday to “Honor your Elected Officials Day”, somehow, it seems rather appropriate for many of them. Don’t try to contact your senators or representatives in their offices to wish them well, just mail a card – they are on vacation!

Hubby and I spent a couple of days this week discussing planting the garden and the timing to do so.
I spent some time going over records and photos from ‘this time last year’ amazed by the way things were ‘bloomed out’ cimpared to what we are seeing this spring.

Waking up this morning to look out at a good coating of snow frosting the ground and trees, was a bit of a disappointment.
It isn’t over yet, no matter what, eventually spring will arrive – won’t it?

Don’t turn your back!

The nights are getting longer! Mama Rosie has decided that the corner is no longer a proper place for the beagle family to spend the night. Getting one or the other of us up at least once a night is becoming the norm.
Waking up to squealing pups is not pleasant! Nearly stepping on one is even worse! Not only is Mama moving them from time to time, but they are becoming mobile on their own too.
I am really trying to understand how she managed to get them across the room and up into my recliner. They are surely not that mobile yet!
They were rescued before anyone nose-dived to the floor, Hubby has fixed them a different box for containment. I am hoping for continued warm weather so they can go out to the kennels.
