This family tried raised beds instead of a ‘big’ garden. If you only have a small space or really poor soil, you might want to use this method.

Personally I think most of us should make an effort to grow some of our own food. It tastes better, you know what went into it and is on it, and the ‘prize’ is worth the effort. It doesn’t have to be a lot, perhaps just a small salad garden, radishes, lettuce, and a couple of tomato plants to begin.

Not everyone has time or space to plant a years worth of vegetables nor the space to store them canned or frozen, but what ever you do, you can enjoy.
